Where to eat in Hua Hin

Hua Hin has plenty of food options for everyone’s taste from very basic and cheap to fine beachfront dining. There is a wide variety of healthy and delicious Thai food as well as Japanese, Korean, Indian and Western food.

If you want to sample authentic Thai dishes and desserts, take a food tour which will take you to local restaurants, street food vendors and local food markets.

Seafood

Due to its location on the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin has a good variety of fresh seafood like fish, crab, shellfish, squid, prawn and lobster. Every day seafood restaurants cook up fresh catch from local fishermen.

Where to eat in Hua Hin

Seafood restaurants

Just North of the Hilton Hotel is Naresdamri Road that has a good number of seafood restaurants overlooking the sea.

High end hotels

The higher end hotels offer fine dining, often beachfront. Among them are the Anantara, Marriott, Dusit Thani and InterContinental.

Open air markets

Open air markets are a good place to try seafood and street food at affordable prices. Among them are Cicada Night Market and the adjoining Tamarind Market in the Khao Takiab area of Hua Hin.

The daily Night Market is located near the Hua Hin Clock Tower in the center of town.

Food courts

For a good variety of Thai food at low prices, go to the food courts at the Market Village Shopping Mall and Blúport Shopping Mall.

Among the many choices are dishes like various noodle soups, grilled chicken, Khao Man Gai (chicken with rice), Khao Pad (fried rice), Pad Thai and Pad Krapow Gai (spicy thai basil chicken).

Both shopping malls also have Western and Japanese restaurants like Pizza Company, Fuji, Burger King and Sizzler.

Jaras

The higher end Jaras offers fine dining in a good ambiance. The sophisticated beachside restaurant serves authentic Thai food and seafood. It is located at the InterContinental Resort.

Big Fish & Bar

Enjoy upscale dining overlooking the sea at the Big Fish & Bar beachfront restaurant. It offers innovative international cuisine fused with Asian elements as well as cocktails. On the menu are among others prime grilled meats as well as fresh seafood like lobster, seafood baskets and steamed buckets of prawns, clams and mussels. The restaurant is located at the Marriott Resort & Spa.

Baan Thalia

Baan Thalia at the Anantara Hua Hin Resort is one of Hua Hin’s best Italian restaurants. It has pizzas and pastas as well as an extensive wine list. Among the other items on the menu are lamb, rib eye, beef tenderloin, fish, soup, salads and delicious desserts like Tiramisu or sorbet.

Located on the 27th floor of the Holiday Inn Resort, Vana Nava Sky Bar & Restaurant offers the best views of Hua Hin, the sea, beach and the mountains. There is inside and outdoor seating. On the menu are European, International and grilled dishes. The Sky Bar is a great place to enjoy good cocktails.

The Monsoon Valley Wine Bar offers Thai food and a selection of Thai wines from the Monsoon Valley Vineyard. If you like the wines, visit the vineyard in the countryside near Hua Hin. Take a tour of the vineyard and taste some of the local wines. The wine bar is located in Villa Market on the corner of Soi 84 and Phetkasem Road.

Siam Bakery

Siam Bakery at the Marriott Resort & Spa offers fresh bakery products like sandwiches, cakes, pastries, cookies and chocolate as well as coffee and fresh juices. On the last Sunday of the month there is a Sunday Dinner Roasted Buffet with international dishes like roasted beef, chicken, pork salad bar, desserts and soup. On Tuesday there is a Tandoori Tuesday buffet.
