Hua Hin night market is a lively and colorful street market spanning two blocks in the center of town. Towards the end of the afternoon the street is converted into a market when traders start setting up their stalls.

Even if you are not looking for anything to buy, it is a fun experience to stroll up and down the brightly lit market, check out the items for sale and try some Thai street food, desserts and sweets.

Market vendors sell items as watches, handbags, phone cases, sun glasses, toys, football shirts, beachwear, men’s and women’s fashion, fashion accessories, leather goods, arts, jewelry, DVD’s and CD’s and all kinds of knick knacks.

Plenty of restaurants and stalls to eat. Hua Hin night market is an excellent place to try fresh seafood.

There is a good choice of Thai handicrafts at Hua Hin night market. Quite a few stalls sell hand crafted items like hand painted mango wood vases, wood carvings or carved flower soap.

Fresh seafood

With Hua Hin’s seaside location fresh seafood like fish, shell fish, lobster, crab, squid and prawns is always available. After crossing Sa Song road to the second block of the market, you will find plenty of restaurants on both sides of the street. An ice tray in front of each restaurant contains the catch of the day. Make your choice, and it will be grilled for you.

Besides seafood there is a choice of Thai dishes like BBQ chicken, fried rice, curries like Gaeng Keow Wan, noodle soup or satay.

For dessert try mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream or a Roti, a Thai style pancake with a choice of toppings like banana, strawberry or chocolate.
If you want to try something different, order some fried insects.

Adjoining Chatsila night market

Adjacent to the Hua Hin night market is another market, Chatsila market. Vendors at this smaller and usually quieter market sell mainly arts and crafts, handmade items, fashion and fashion accessories. Around the market square are several eateries and massage shops.
Access to Chatsila night market is through Soi 72/1.

Location

Hua Hin night market spans two blocks on Hua Hin Soi 72 in the center of town. Enter the market either from Phet Kasem road about a hundred meters from the clock tower or from Prapokklao road.

How to get there

You can easily get there by songthaew. Flag one down on Phet Kasem road. Fare is between 10 and 20 Baht depending on distance.
Plenty of tuk-tuks are waiting around the market for the return trip.

Opening hours

The Hua Hin night market opens daily from 6:30 pm until 11 pm. It can get quite busy, especially during the weekend.
