Junkyard Theatre

If you’re looking for a show that is completely different from all other shows in Phuket, go the Junkyard Theatre. Enjoy a fun evening out watching a dinner cabaret show with spectacular stage settings, hilarious acts and a three-course dinner.

Junkyard Theatre performs a modern cultural dinner show inspired by the Phuket expat experience and local culture. It’s a mockery of Phuket, a comedic view at expat life on the island.

The 2½ hour show is filled with songs, dance, cabaret style acts, comedy, drama and theatrical performances.

Before the show

The venue opens at 7 pm. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary drink. The show starts at 7:30 pm.

A parody of Phuket

The show is inspired by the fusion of Western and Asian cultures. It’s a parody of Phuket and the Phuket expat experience. The skits show some of the best and worst of the island with settings as the red-light district, soapy massages, the infamous Bangla Road nightlife and Muay Thai boxing.

The Junkyard Theatre presents a unique show of absurdism, creativity and humor. The show is always evolving with new acts being created regularly. Among the classic acts are The Thaitanic, Mango Massage, Michael Jackson, Fabulous Las Vegas and Muay Thai boxing.

Have lots of laughs watching an entertaining show that has some mature themes. During some of the acts the actors interact with the audience.

Stage sets and props

The Junkyard Theatre show uses spectacular, creative stage sets. All sets and props are made from recycled materials and made by the Underwood Art Factory that also supplies the space for the theatre.

Dinner and drinks

The show comes with great food. A very well presented three-course menu is served during short breaks in the show. Vegan menus and menus adapted for allergies are available. Please inform the Junkyard Theatre one day prior to the show.

The drinks list contains a good variety of wines, cocktails and other drinks.

The after party starts right after the show at about 10 pm and lasts until midnight.

Minimum age is 16 years. Children are not allowed in the theater.

* Ticket price includes the show, a three-course set menu dinner and a welcome drink. There are a few mature themes in the show.
Vegan menus and menus adapted for food allergies are available. Please inform Junkyard theater at least one day prior to the show.

Show times

The show is performed every Saturday.

The evening starts at 7 pm with a welcome drink.
The show starts at 7:30 pm and runs for about 2½ hours.
Dinner is served during breaks.
The after party starts at 10 pm and ends at midnight.

Flash photography or video during the show is not allowed.

The Junkyard Theatre is located at 49/6 Moo 5 Chalermphrakiat Ratchakan Thi 9 Road on the outskirts of Phuket Town, right next to IKEA.

How to get there

Get to the theatre by either tuk tuk or Grab taxi. Grab taxi is more comfortable, easy to get and usually cheaper than a tuk tuk.
