Lamai viewpoint on top of Laem Mai mountain is a relaxing place in beautiful natural surroundings. It offers outdoor activities for the whole family.

Enjoy the great scenery of Lamai and the sea from the viewpoint on the top and take a thrill ride on the zipline over the forest and the valley.

Attractions at Lamai viewpoint

At the bottom of Laem Mai mountain are three natural attractions, namely the Valentine stone, the waterfall with a pond and a natural fish spa.

On top are a viewpoint with a bar and a zipline.

Valentine stone

Set in the gardens at the foot of the mountain is the Valentine stone, a large rock shaped like a heart. According to local belief couples will have love forever when they touch the stone.

Waterfall and pond

Near the stone is a small waterfall called Siva Tara waterfall that ends in a splash pool with a natural fish spa.

Fish spa

Looking into the clear water you can see the fish swimming in the pond. Put your feet in the water and feel how the fish nibble away at the dead skin.

Cable car

To get to Lamai viewpoint on top of the hill you can either hike or get on the cable car.

The steep walk up the hill on a concrete path takes about ten minutes. A more relaxed way to the top is to take the cable car. Take the steep ride up facing Lamai and the sea.

Viewpoint

Near the top is the viewing platform. Enjoy the pleasant breeze and the 180 degree views of Lamai and the Gulf of Thailand. The bar at the platform serves snacks, drinks and ice cream.

The viewpoint is a great place to watch the sunset.

Zipline

Highlight for many is the zipline ride over the forest and the valley.

Get your safety gear at the viewpoint and walk the short way to the zipline. After getting strapped in by the instructor, get ready for a fun ride. Get your adrenaline going and feel the rush of ziplining over the trees at a height of 80 meters. There are two 450 meter long rides next to each other.

Restaurant

After the zipline fun, enjoy lunch at the restaurant near the entrance at the foot of the mountain.

Location

Lamai viewpoint and zipline is located at 127/199 Moo 3, Haad Lamai Road. It is near Grandfather’s and Grandmother’s Rocks on Lamai Beach.

How to get there

To get there, charter a songthaew or arrange transfer through your hotel.

Opening hours

Lamai viewpoint opens daily.
Monday to Friday from 9 am until 6:30 pm.
Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am until 6:30 pm.
The cable car and zipline operate from 9:30 am until 6 pm.
