The pathways, some of them quite narrow, are elevated as the area can get flooded in the rainy season. One of the cycling trails is called the Flower Road, as it has flowers painted in different colors on the concrete.

To do and see in Bang Krachao

Because the area has very little traffic and the bicycle paths are too narrow for cars, Bang Krachao is well suited to explore on a bicycle. On narrow, elevated pathways you can cycle to a large park, a floating market, small villages with old wooden houses on stilts, several temples and enjoy the beautiful and serene natural surroundings.

Si Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden
A short bicycle ride from the pier is Si Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden. This large park has lookout points, fish ponds and pavilions. Paddle boats are for rent at the lake.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market
If you visit Bang Krachao in the weekend, you can go to Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. The market is also known as the honey market, named after the locally produced honey.

Although called a floating market, most shops are on land adjoining a canal. Only open Saturday and Sunday, the market is busiest in the morning, when local people come to buy mostly food and fruits. Also for sale are handicrafts and clothing.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market is a good place to try authentic street food at low prices. Here you can try food as roasted duck and noodle soup, grilled chicken as well as Thai sweets and desserts.

Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok Temple
There is about a dozen temples in Bang Krachao, one of them being Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok. At this Buddhist temple on the river you will find several buildings as an ordination hall and an assembly hall and two large Buddha images overlooking the river.
